12/27-28/07
We're seriously gonna die...

Maine was a blast. Foundation played the best I've ever seen them play. It must have snowed two inches by the time the show was over. I guess I should let it be known that as soon as we left Boston, it snowed ass deep to a Nordic male. We had do do the bare minimum speed-wise on the highway to stay alive. Once we got off the interstate, the roads were even worse and we slid a couple times. Nothing serious, but every time we felt the rear end slip, i thought it was the end, for sure.

Great show all around, though. Wake Up Call blew me away. Insane hometown response. Some dude ate total shit on a stage dive and cracked his head open. Blood all down his neck. His response was the weird part to me though. Instead of being hurt, he got mad at everyone for looking at him. But it wasnt a natural anger though; like his brain got scrambled or something. Weird, but fuck 'em. DTN killed it. Not much else meeds to be said. I didnt feel well after DTN so i crashed in the van for Have Heart. Apparently a stellar performance from them as well. Although, I'm not sure what else you'd expect.

After the show, the Foundation crew decided to brave the weather and head to New York for the night. Best decision of the tour, by far. I'll admit I was skeptical at first, but after waking up to a sunrise over the city skyline, I turned out to be wrong.

Met Michelle and got ready for the day in her apartment. We all went to some bagel spot for breakfast before we went our seperate ways. Michelle, Tomas, Matt, Briggs, and Champ went denim shopping in some SoHo boutiques while Alex, Andrew, and I went sight-seeing.

New York city is one of the coolest places I've ever been to. It was awesome to see Times Square, the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, eat real New York pizza, and get as close of a look at Ground Zero as we could. And we did all this in a matter of four or five hours.

Now were back in the van going to the show with Meltdown and Mind Piece.

GOOD: New York City, life lessons, responsibility, accountability, pizza, Michelle being a great host, buried alive wake-up mosh, being “down for the cause”

BAD: being late, traffic, "denim heads," raw denim, stress, ignorance, money, greys, nordic males, and reptilians. Yeah, fuck aliens.

SHOW RECAP:
Foundation played well. Response was lackluster, but I was running merch so I know kids were getting into it. In other news, MIND PIECE. Christ. Crime in Stereo's surprise set also ruled. Although, i dont think they played a single song off of the new record. Also as a sidebar, the singer from Indecision invited foundation to play their reunion next year (2008).

“Hey, does anyone here like Indecision? We do too...”
